Trip to discover and taste the best almadraba tuna of Cadiz

Departure days: Tuesdays (up to 3 people) and Wednesdays (up to 7 people) from June 1 until October 31. Times are fixed by the customer.

Barbate tuna is the best tuna route in the world, a unique experience. In our one-day-trip we will walk through the history of the Trafalgar Battle between the English and Spanish armies, enjoy the best tuna in the world in Barbate and discover one of the most beautiful villages in Andalusia, Vejer de la Frontera, declared a Historic Site and awarded with the National Embellishment Award.

  • Itinerary: first we will visit the Cape of Trafalgar as a testimony of the history of the battle of 1805, which confronted the Franco-Spanish troops against the British army, with English victory, in which hundreds of people died and dozens of ships sank. We will continue towards the Tuna Museum in Barbate, where they will explain all the details of the capture and elaboration of this jewel of the sea, in addition to the ronqueo, millenary technique of skinning and filleting of the tuna. The visit will include a tasting with drink.

    After the visit to the Tuna Museum, we will have free time for to enjoy the local gastronomy (check our suggestions).

    In the afternoon, we will continue to Vejer de la Frontera, the most beautiful Andalusian village, with its typical houses and narrow streets in which you can picture its Muslim past. We will visit its castle and the Plaza de España.
